I want to wish everyone a very Happy 2007!

I've done like many I know and looked back over 2006. Many ups and downs but overall not a bad year. Robert and I celebrated 12 years together and we're still healthy and happy with each other. My job is stable and I had a promotion. My financial situation is improving with time and I love our house. My mom is still fighting and all this after she was expected to be gone by early June. This year sucked only in that my dad was gone and my mom was drained by the loss.

I am hoping that in 2007 my family continues to heal and that Robert and I will find some time to take for ourselves...he deserves it for his steadfast support of me in all the ups and downs. I also hope his dad continues to improve and that they got all the cancer with the first operation. I want to reconnect with old friends that have drifted away and get more involved in life outside of just work and staying home.

In the grander scheme of things I always forlornly hope that the crazy shit in the world will calm down, just for awhile. But most of all, I think I need to learn to work on that which I can do and let the universe and God handle the rest.
